Artist's Comments

"shots taken at night in streetlamp light, i was trying to hold the camera still to take the picture without a tripod, no easy task...naturally they are a bit shaky, but the result was gratifying"

decided to resubmit this because honestly, i think this is why i got hooked on digital photography in the first place. i used to be such a traditionalist when i started uni, in fact my instructor in sophomore year said i was so conservative for someone so young. now im hooked for many reasons, but one example is that these grubby plants line the walls around a pub i go to regularly and i'm so used to their grubbiness. they're just green and brown and blah, the only reason i ever took notice is because they're so lush and a streetlamp hits them from behind. but a just a few tweaks in ps and it's like i've never seen them before, like they're from some exotic location.
